Trifonic - Hearts on Fire

Scott Pagano provides a perfect visual accompaniment to some very nice breakbeats from Trifonic. Enjoy.

The Dalescapes of Time.

This short film by Patryk Kizny is a beautiful, unforgettable time lapse of the Dale of Jelenia Gora in Poland. It’s gorgeous stuff.

That’s not to imply that you had ever ‘forgot Poland’ in the first place, of course.

The Eagle Hunter

Getting into falconry before I depart this plane of existence is high on my bucket list.  The mutual respect that is involved with the practice is ultra-appealing…as is being close to such beautiful creatures, of course.

If you’re into falconry as much as I am make sure you watch this, too.

Harrison Ford seems to really like the texture of Conan’s chair.  And money.  And flying.

Life As A Fish

So while the federal buildings blow, below, fish glow
How lovely that must be
You should-a listened to Jacques Costeau, don’t say, you know
Stop sending your trash to sea…

From No-one Ever Really Dies’ new album ‘Nothing’.  The music video for ‘Life As A Fish’ was shot and directed by Doug Spangenberg.  Let’s all agree to stop being crappy to the environment, ok?

You should feel what I feel…

...you should take what I take…

Star Guitar by The Chemical Brothers is one of my favorite music videos of all time and it’s no surprise that it was directed by the always-excellent Michel GondryWatch this to see how he planned the whole thing out. Enjoy!

The Eurasian Eagle-owl

The Eurasian Eagle Owl is the second largest owl (only slightly smaller than Blakiston’s Fish Owl) but is easily the most powerful: in addition to it’s normal diet of small mammals it can even take down foxes and deer if it can catch them by surprise. Whoa.  Read more about the Eurasian Eagle-owl on it’s wikipedia page.

Going West

“Out in the world, not much happened. But here in the special night, a land bricked with paper and leather, anything might happen, always did.” -Ray Bradbury

Thanks for commissioning stuff like this, New Zealand Book Council.

Introduction by Rinat Gazizov

“Back in my day, we had to animate weird stuff by hand!” -Rinat Gazizov

The above isn’t actually a quote from Mr. Gazizov but they just don’t make ‘em quite like this anymore.

A big thanks goes to Alex Delogu for the heads-up...cheers!  (By the looks of his tumblr, you can tell he’s a kindred spirit.)
