The Drug
Polish designer, Mateusz Witkowski (a.k.a. The Ejnsof) created this video for a contest organized by Genero.tv and Röyksopp for the latter’s latest album, Senior. Mateusz’s work was selected as one of the winners and was broadcast, in London, on a big screen during a special BUG event to coincide with Senior’s release. We dig it’s simple, retro approach, candy-rainbow colors and love how well the visuals compliment the minimal/techy/synthy/dubby/emotive groove of ‘The Drug’. Cheers, Mateusz! We’re looking forward to what you make in the future.
P.S. I bet the source material for the owl sequence at 2:30 came from this video right hurr.

Purple Kitchen Goddess
Back in January I posted an image I referred to as ‘Four Hands’ that I had found on fukung and asked if anyone knew who had created it. Carol-ann was cool enough to write in and inform us that it was by Uno Moralez, a super-talented pixel artist who specializes in the bizarre. While checking out his site, I found lots of great stuff (like the .gif I posted above) so we’ll definitely be keeping our eye on what he makes in the future. Thanks again, Carol-ann – CHEERS!

Rickster shot some footage with his iPhone on the train after leaving a Vimeo event in Amsterdam and then kaleidoscope‘d it for our viewing pleasure. The whole video is good but things get great at the 2:00 mark when the cars and graffiti start showing up. Enjoy!
