Village of the Birds
The small village of Kuskoy, Turkey is one of the only remaining places on Earth that utilizes a whistled language as a means of communication. As you can see, the villagers prefer to whistle to one another when it comes to long distances, as it helps keep them connected to one another (and not to mention, it’s cheaper).

The Eagle Hunter
Getting into falconry before I depart this plane of existence is high on my bucket list. The mutual respect that is involved with the practice is ultra-appealing…as is being close to such beautiful creatures, of course.

Matei Apostolescu (a.k.a. 013A) is a psychedelic illustrator from Bucharest, Romania. It’s easy to get wonderfully lost in the complex, whimsical, geometric and colorful images he creates.
