Martin, who sent in this Motiphe directed and produced video for Glitch Mob‘s ‘Between Two Lines’ (featuring Swan), said it was, “perfect for The Tripatorium[™] in my opinion.” We agree!
To best experience this “tale about the weight of dependency” we recommend dimming the lights and putting on a nice pair of headphones to soak in the awesome. Enjoy!

First off, this video is definitely NSFW so if you’re checking this out at your 9-5 you might wanna save it for later. That being said, this pixel-crafted wonder of a music video by Jérémie Périn for Flairs is a nostalgic revisit to the days when 16-bit electronic diversions reigned supreme. If you’ve got an iOS device and want to take control of the lewd trucker himself then click here to get in on the fun.

One night to be confused, one night to speed up truth;
We had a promise made, four hands and then away.
Both under influence, we had divine sense,
To know what to say; mind is a razorblade.
Heartbeats is one of my favorite tunes, whether it’s this cover the original by The Knife, the original by José Gonzalez‘s cover or Rex The Dog’s remix (my personal favorite). The official music video – directed by Johannes Nyholm, Andreas Nilsson and Bo Melin – is a treat but it’s hard to put my finger on exactly why I like it so much. After some reflection I realized that, in part, it made me feel nostalgic. Which is weird, cause I was never into skateboarding or grew up in the 60/70s. If you can make me nostalgic for a period I never existed in then, well done sirs.
EDIT (2/25/11): A regular reader of the site, Adrian, has informed me that ‘Heartbeats’ was originally written by The Knife and not José Gonzalez as I had originally stated above. Turns out he was right so my sincere apologies. Giving proper credit where credit is due is very important to The Tripatorium™ so if you find anything amiss don’t hesitate to drop us a line. Thanks for sending in that correction, Adrian!

“The music is a voice improvisation recorded using mostly the laptop mic, and then near the end a couple supporting harmonies were recorded with a proper mic and used as contrasting sound. The video portion was shot along the West Side Highway in NYC, I suppose around the upper 50s or so. There was a lot of construction going on and I thought it looked pretty fascinating.”

Another great music video for a Ninja Tune release, this time it’s directed and animated by none-other-than Sir Cyriak himself. It’s just as you’d expect: fantastic.

Why not get your mellow on via a choice cut from Erykah Badu’s latest album, ‘New Amerykah Part Two: Return of the Ankh’? The equally chill video was directed by Flying Lotus with post-production and modeling duties handled by a Tripatorium regular, beeple. It’s good times all around, folks.

Alex of Global Dive Media shot this gorgeous underwater footage at Tulamben in north eastern Bali. The backing music by Tom La Meche adds a peaceful and contemplative atmosphere to the proceedings so why not dim the lights and relax for a while?

Biôrn, an old Viking, is determined to reach Valhalla, the warrior’s afterlife full of excessive drinking and debauchery. To gain entry he has to die honorably in battle, but he discovers that the right death isn’t so easy.
A fantastic short film with top-notch art direction, animation and sound design. The ending is great, too. We have Benjamin J. Kousholt, Daniel D. Christensen, Mads Lundgaard Christensen, Jesper A. Jensen, Jonas K. Doctor, Steffen Lyhne, Pernille Ørum-Nielsen, Frederik Bjerre-Poulsen and Jonas Georgakakis to thank for putting this together. Well done!

A man drives his car furiously down a narrow road, surrounded by a vast forest. When he encounters a deer in the middle of the road he makes a villainous attempt to ram it. However this particular hit and run has jaw crushing, battering consequences.
‘Mighty Antlers’ was created by four Danish filmmakers/animators: Sune Reinhardt, Mikael Ilnæs, Michael L. Fonsholt and Jouko Keskitalo.
